SECTIONAL TRAINING

It was announced that this is the last year to obtain your Leaders Medal of Achievement, LMA. Next year the medal will change with a different set of requirements. The Section needs to know what you need to complete your LMA. It is our goal to assist you in meeting the training needs of you and all the section. Please let Training Coordinator Garon Clakley know what training you or your outpost need. We hope to start scheduling training in March.  Garon can be contacted at dgclakley@yahoo.com.

UPCOMING EVENT

March 20 - Section Father/Son Fishing Trip

We will be taking a fishing trip for 3rd grade and up Ranger Boys and dads/parents are encouraged to come along. The location will be finalized in the next few weeks. Cost for this event will be $10 per person.

The section will provide some fishing  baits for you along with a lunch.

We will be fishing from 8:00 - 11:00 am followed by lunch and a devotion. We plan to be completed by 1:00 pm.  Check back for details as they are available.  See you there.

May 22 - Section Ranger Kids Day (date change)

Plans for the Ranger Kids Day are being developed but make plans to bring your Ranger Kids out with their parents to enjoy a morning of fun. We will be using the same theme as the District is for Pow Wow, "GI JOE".

We will be having activities and games with armed forces themes. We will also be serving lunch during this event. Check back as details are continuing to be finalized.

Let me say thank you for dropping by and checking out our website. My name is Jeff Kersey and I’m the new South Fort Worth Section Commander.  Just a few words of introduction, I have previously served as your SFW Section Commander as well as several roles on the North Texas District Staff. I currently serve as the FCF Wilderness Representative for the Shawnee Trail Chapter. I also serve in Outpost 55, Christ Church, as Outpost Councilman and Discovery Ranger Commander. I am starting to get a staff together and we will be planning the events for the coming year. We hope to bring exciting, challenging, and spiritually uplifting events to the SFW Section. Thank you for this opportunity to serve you and I look forward to seeing you at the events.
